SHEQ & Training
Vocon Traffic Management operate under an integrated SHEQ (Safety, Health, Environment and Quality) Management system that is fully compliant and measured.
Our high health and safety standards and excellent record is thanks to of our dedicated employees from operatives to directors. Everyone understands their role and accepts responsibility for everyone’s (colleagues and publics) health, safety and welfare. To ensure that we remain fully compliant and maintain our high standards, all our systems and processes are audited and inspected.
Environmental awareness is becoming increasingly more important in our industry and we recognise that our daily operations have an impact on the environment that surrounds us. Therefore, we strive to reduce our carbon emissions in the following ways:
- Use of GPS systems to track operatives and select the nearest operative to attend a call out
- Operate and maintain low CO2 emission vehicles
- Recycle old signage and cones
- Use of environmentally friendly equipment – Solar Powered Variable Message Signs
- Monitor company carbon footprint with trips and miles saved
Quality and Project Management
Every clients’ project gets our full attention and our aim is to deliver every job on time and on budget. We have a quality system in place that ensures every project is delivered to the same standard for every client’s job. All contracts will have a dedicated project manager that will coordinate work and ensure all requirements are met. All our processes are regularly reviewed and audited annually.
Training our Staff
We are committed to ensuring all our staff have all the necessary qualifications to carry out temporary traffic management tasks. We regularly schedule training days with Lantra. Awards to ensure all our staff have the knowledge and skills to install, maintain and remove traffic management to legal standards and ensure the public safety.
At Vocon we utilise a range of new and innovative data management systems to ensure our teams deliver high quality solutions time and time again. These technologies help us manage our performance and reach agreed targeted SLA’s (Service Level Agreement) and KPI’s (Key Performance Indicators).
On Site. ‘Real Data, Real Time’
This is our replacement for paper-based forms, by using technology we can reduce job paperwork resulting in greater efficiencies. Our operatives can access Onsite on smart phones via an application which allows back office staff to provide live business information to supervisors, operatives and clients. This also enables us to send timestamped forms straight from desktop to customer inbox in a PDF format to allow easy review and get a complete in site to what is happening “onsite” without having to visit site. GPS software is an effective tool that allows us to utilize our team of operatives and arrange site visits efficiently. We can view our operative’s ‘live’ location to establish which team members are closest to an emergency call out situation which ensures that we meet our agreed service level agreements.
